Top 5 Sonic Youth Albums

The first time I heard Sonic Youth was when they opened for Pearl Jam a couple years back.  I’ll always remember that the first song I heard of theirs that really stuck with me was “Pink Steam” off Rather Ripped.  Because of this, I think I became fonder of Sonic Youth’s newer work instead of the fan-proclaimed classics like Goo.  But of course Daydream Nation takes the crown over anything released after the turn of the millennium…

1. Daydream Nation (1988)

2. Murray Street (2002)

3. Rather Ripped (2006)

4. Dirty (1992)

5. The Eternal (2009)
